Sensitive skin rarely improves by adding another serum. It improves when you remove what keeps irritating it.
If your face feels hot after washing, stings on contact, or flares when you layer too much, the fix is usually less, then slower.
Signs you should strip back
- Pink or warm skin after cleansing
- Tightness by afternoon
- Stinging from products that used to feel fine
- Breakouts after introducing several new formulas at once
Those signals mean your barrier is busy. It does not need a new active. It needs quiet.
The two-product week
For seven days:
- One mild cleanser, lukewarm water, pat dry
- One lightweight moisturiser on slightly damp skin
Do not add acids, retinoids, scrubs, or fragrance. If skin feels calmer by the end of the week, you have a baseline. Only then introduce one new product at a time, a few days apart.
